ICE-FRANCE is pleased to announce the signing of a new technical assistance contract with the Delegation of the European Union in Côte d'Ivoire. This program, titled “Support for Local Governance and Decentralization” (AGLD), is part of the EU-Côte d'Ivoire Multiannual Indicative Program 2021-2027.
Program Objectives
The AGLD program aims to strengthen the capacities of Ivorian local authorities in their role as project owners in local development. The interventions will cover the areas of participatory planning, budget management, public service delivery, and accountability to citizens.
Intervention Area
The program will be implemented in 8 administrative regions — Bandama Valley, Woroba, Zanzan, Gôh-Djiboua, Lacs, Lagunes, Mountains, and Sassandra-Marahoué — affecting a population of more than 3 million inhabitants and covering 45 municipalities.
Our Team
For this program, ICE-FRANCE will mobilize a team of 6 long-term resident experts, based in Abidjan and the intervention regions, as well as about twenty short-term experts specializing in the various themes of the program.
This new contract consolidates our presence in West Africa and demonstrates the trust our partners place in ICE-FRANCE's expertise in the fields of governance and institutional development.
